From the "Underwater music" series. This picture is like a blue freshness falling down your throat from a cold bottle on a hot day. And also this desire to go up, to eternal summer and palm trees. Now we can hear the muffled sounds of humanity, on the other side of the water. But as soon as she passes through this portal — the water surface, we will hear the sounds of fun, parties, the clatter of ice cubes in drinks and loud music.

Or, who knows, maybe we’ll hear more silence than here under the water. Be that as it may, this mysterious moment in the painting will be the enigma and sacrament of summer. The magic of the nature.

There are a lot of emotions in the "underwater music" series. The impetus was that I remembered how I loved mermaids since childhood. And this impulse was continued by the aesthetics of the videos with free diving to the deep house music. I think there’s so much freedom in it. Under the water, as if everything can seem limitless.
At the same time, I have a panic fear of depth, it is a complete unknown. Unknown and freedom. Sometimes I stand in the shower, lift my head up and close my eyes. The water hits my face, it’s hard to breathe, and my instinct wakes up. It revives in my head the feeling that I am in the open ocean. It’s fear. Despite this fear, I have an idea that the ocean can be great. This confusion beckons me. It reminds me of our culture. The phenomenon is one, and the ideas about it can be opposite.

Accordingly, if the impulse to create a painting can be any, then the result can be any, even the opposite. Perhaps this is how the psyche works, in the frightening I highlighted what can attract. In the thought of the boundless deep water, I took the joy of swimming and the sun of hope.
